SUPER BOWL 2006

The super bowl was played today and two very good teams played a close game. The Jaguars defeated the Titans 19 - 14 in a close game that was won on the last play! The Titans scored first on a Walter D. run for six points and then also ran in for the one point extra point. The Jaguars then tied the game on a pass from Tevin J. to Lorenzo S. for six and then Tevin J. ran the extra one point in. On the Titans next possession, they drove down field and Ricky R. threw a long pass to Daniel D. for six points and then Ricky R. threw a one point pass to Keyon M. to make the score 14-7. After a DeShon T. run for six, the Jaguars were not able to score the one point conversion and trailed by a score of 14 - 13. A couple of penalties drove the Titans back to their own one yard line and on fourth down decided to go for it on fourth and 25 yards instead of punting. They were unsuccessful and the Jaguars only had one play to score as time was almost up. Their first play was stopped because of a confusion in a touch so the play was done over. On the replay, Tevin J. scored six on a run to make the final score 19 - 14 and a Jaguars Super Bowl victory. Congratulations to both teams!
